I don't understand why people don't like them, very easy and they clean great. Keeps the slight mold smell away that my dishwasher used to get with other brands.
I switched back to my regular paks, and the problem is gone. So I definitely know the terrible residue was caused by these Cascade w/Bleach Lemon Scent. It was really bad. I had to take the racks out of the dishwasher and scrub them and all of the dishes had to be rewashed by hand and scrubbed. Very odd! You could actually scratch the residue off with your fingernail and since I use the hea setting to dry the dishes in the dishwasher, it was like it just baked it right on all the dishes.
The only possible hitch with these is that you need to make sure your hands are dry before grabbing one. The "skin" on these is a water soluble gelatin which works similarly to medicine caplets. As soon as it touches water, it gets sticky and starts to dissolve. If you dip your dripping hand into a bucket of these things, the water you leave behind will either cause the rest of the product to pop and leak or at the minimum stick to each other and rip when you go to grab the next one. So... dry your hands like the instructions say and be a happy customer!
We've been using Cascade with bleach for about a year now. Very happy with the results. Dishes come out nice and clean, plus our tea cups are bright white. Previously we'd have to use polident to whiten the cups up, but now it's just into the dishwasher and done. As long as they make this, we'll keep using it. Also, haven't noticed any decrease in cleaning power since they reduced the amount of phosphates in the pacs.

I've been using this product for several years now and love it! Not only are my dishes exceptionally clean, so is my dishwasher. Thank you Cascade!
