I wasn't happy with this product and will not purchase again. Quite frankly, I didn't really smell very much and it's not really strong enough to clean my dishes. I had to use a lot of it just to make any suds. I felt like I needed to add a shot of another product in with it to make it effective.
Doesn't cut through grease with just a small squeeze like Dawn. VERY watery. Nice smell is really the only plus side beside being green. Not really happy with the product but will have to deal with it.
At this price, with free shipping, if you have any kind of a special need for a product like this or just want to minimize the chemicals and "nasties" in your home, you'd be foolish not to, at least, give it a try.
There's a lot of debate in the reviews about the safety or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. SLS is absorbed through your skin, and attaches itself to estrogen receptors, mimicking natural estrogen. You have to do your own research and make your own decision on whether this is important to you and your family. I've purchased many cases of this and continue to keep it on hand. However, I won't be ordering any more because of the SLS, and even then that's only because I have a hormone imbalance unrelated to these chemicals, so I'm cutting out anything that has any chance of inflating my problem. That said, if I didn't already have an imbalance I probably wouldn't worry about the SLS in this specific product.
I have been using this dish soap for years after running the gamut of natural dish soaps out on the market. The store where I formerly bought it stopped carrying it, and I found an excellent price offered by Amazon. The fragrance is subtle, just enough to delight the senses, and the ability to cut grease is truly amazing. Also rinses off completely, leaving no soapy film on a cup to ruin the taste of your coffee, as I have found with many other natural products. I highly endorse this product for its great economical price ( and you don't need to use all that much for great results!) and effectiveness.
I was a bit worried about trying this brand, but at 6 for $13.50 I figured I'd give it a try. I have to say, it works just as well as any other, suds up great, and makes me feel good about myself to boot. You won't be disappointed.
After three months using 7th generation to hand wash frying pans, I can promise you that it does NOT bond with grease. It leaves a residue that builds up, gets sticky, and then has to be scraped off with a knife! I've also been using it to clean my eyeglasses and now I think I know why they seem cloudy! Might as well have cataracts! Save your money., For something as easy to buy locally as dish soap, I'm going back to Palmolive!
I like this so much that I order it through Amazon's great Subscribe & Save program and share it with my two grown daughters. Smell is delicate and pleasant, cleans very well, and good for the environment.
I also tend to get dry hands in winter, and this does not exacerbate the issue. You will probably end up using less than "normal" dish liquid; a little seems to go a long way.
This is a great product. Suds up well for washing dishes. However, we also use it as a hand soap and it's great! We use it to refill our liquid soap dispensers.
