  My mid-priced Hotpoint dishwasher is 16 years old. I've been using the Dishwasher Magic twice a year for 10 years and (knock on wood) the dishwasher is still pluggin' along. We have very hard water in Greentucky and this keeps the lime-scale from building up near where the pump is located. When using this you do have to make sure your water temp is hot enough, otherwise the wax plug inside the opening of the bottle won't melt and dispense the product.

  At any rate, I highly recommend this product if you have iron staining your dishwasher. A great product at a great price!!

  I was so excited to use this product on our stainless steel dishwasher. It is only a couple of years old but has begun to smell like mold inside. I used this product as directed and I am not amazed with the results. The smell is the same and My dishwasher does look shiney but it never looked filmy in the first place and that was not my intended purpose for this product..

  This works well for us, we use it every 3-4 months. Nice to be able to buy it on-line since it can be difficult to find locally.

  Our dishwasher had a lot of soap buildup to the point that the main dispenser doesn't open up when it should and our dishes aren't getting very clean. I've looked online and tried a few methods (tang, vinegar, etc...) to no avail. So, I found a couple cleaners online and thought we would give them a try. I stared with Dishwasher Magic and had high hopes. When the cycle finished the bottle was empty but the inside of the washer hadn't changed. The detergent build up was still there. Moving on to the next one...

  I moved into an apartment and the dishwasher was extremely dirty. The apartment has hard water so the entire interior of the dishwasher was a dark beige color. I was looking for a product to use to clean the dishwasher. I saw this product and expected this to not do anything. I was shocked when I checked the dishwasher and it was clean. Absolutely shocked. I am going to continue buying this product to keep my dishwasher clean. I highly recommend this product if you have hard water or haven't cleaned your dishwasher in a long time.

  We just moved into a forclosure house that sat for years. The water here is very hard and the inside of the dishwasher was disgusting and crusty with calcium deposits. I even hesitated to put our dishes in to wash them because I thought it might make them dirtier. One of the many workmen who have been through here recommended Dishwasher Magic and he was right. I ran two bottles through the dishwasher and it looks like new! Amazing and worth every penny.

  I wish it was about half the price, but then again you only need to use it every so often in your Dishwasher.

  If you are having issues with that white filmy residue, I recommend giving this a try.
