It's hard to walk the walk if you can't find reasonably priced, environmentally friendly products that work well! Seventh Gen fits both bills consistently! Thank you!
I love this product. It gets my dishes clean and is safe to use. I purchased through Amazon because I have to drive 45 min to find a store that sells it near my home. Amazon's prices are better too.
I am trying to slowly turn all of my household products "green" so I thought I would give this a try. While I do love it, it leaves a white residue on my plastic bowls but other than that I will continue to use it. And for the price it is well worth a try!
I don't understand the negative reviews. This product does not contain petroleum, so disregard that complaint on old reviews. It does a great job cleaning our dishes and I love the lemon scent. I plan on continuing using this product, and the case price on amazon is excellent!
I have not idea what the complaints are about, this stuff works great and I really hated Cascade. I don't want the smell of lemons permeating my dishware. I tried the Trader Joe's earth friendly powder but found a tiny bit of residue if I used too much. And once I made my own powder with Borax and baking soda and HOLY RESIDUE. Never again.
I have used this product for years and really love it. My dishwasher (a 2008 model of LG, stainless steel) is very finicky and won't work properly with any powders or any of the prepackaged detergents but this works great! I like the smell and that it is a natural product. Also, I only need to fill the detergent thing about half full to get my dishes clean - which is a great savings! Check out the video for more info and to see the product being dispensed into my dishwasher.
I love Seventh Generation, but I do not like this product. My dishes do not get clean. I have to completely rinse and almost hand wash before putting dishes into my dishwasher, for them to come out clean. There is almost always a white residue on the bottom of my glasses and my silverware. If only seventh generation could make a dish washer detergent like their dish soap.
Can someone please tell me a natural dish detergent that actually works? With so many smart, caring people, it shouldn't be this hard. I ordered a case of Seventh Generation Dishwasher Detergent, and it was so awful, but I thought it must be my dish washer, so I actually bought a new dish washer! Nope, it was the detergent. I tried the Seventh Generation in the new dish washer, and the dishes were dirty. The dish washer is a good one, a portable GE, so I tried the old dish washer with chemical laden cascade, and lo and behold clean dishes. Worked in both dish washers. I just cannot poison the waters, so I tried Method, and the same thing - it doesn't clean dishes. I ran the dish washer on pots and pans cycle, even though it was just dishes. I ran it on high temp wash, and I ran it through twice for the same load. Still, the dishes were dirty. I hear that Mrs Meyers Dish Washer Detergent works great. It costs more, so I didn't get it, but I only wasted my money on these awful products.
